C-Murder is really the scout for No LimitRecords. He's the one who looks for new talent and brings them to Master P to see if
he/she's got what it takes to become a No Limit Soldier. He grew up in 3rd ward Calliope Projects in New Orleans. He has the
same siblings as Master P and Silkk. He lived that hard rough street life; cutting school, slanging drugs, stealing, etc. Like Silkk,
when Kevin died, C-Murder moved to Richmond with his mother and brothers, and dreamed of starting a new life. As Master
P started seeking the underground rap scene, C-Murder got involved with P and started rapping and producing. From the
amateur underground albums to the new famed albums, C-Murder has always been part of the group TRU. Then in mid-
March of '98, C-Murder released his first solo album, "Life or Death." After making his solo, he introduces his future record
label, TRU Records. So far, C-Murder has signed Magic, a local New Orleans artist, and QB, who made his debut act on a
commercial off C's album. His first albumon TRU Records will be Magic's "Sky's The Limit," which dropped September 15th.
His favorite rappers are 2Pac and Easy E. In an article somewhere C-Murder responded to the statement that he sounds like
Pac by saying he doesn't think he does, but if people say he does he takes it as a compliment. C said he usually the one who
comes up with the ideas of doing remakes or covers of songs. In a Vibe article, C said he was driving home from Baton Rouge
one day when he heard Aaliyah's "If Your Girl Only Knew" on the radio, before he arrived home he bought her CD, slipped it
to Mo B. and Aaliyah's song became "Fedz" within two days. C's song "TRU ?'s" on Tru 2 Da Game is a re-make of an old
NWA song. So is "Cluckers" on Life or Death and "D.P. Gangsta", a song C appears on on Snoop's new joint. C also followed
in his brother, Master P's, footsteps by coming up with his own group, Tank Dawgs. Tank Dawgs consists of four members:
C-Murder himself, Fiend, Mac, and the newest member, Snoop Dogg. C-Murder is also in the mix of working on his second
solo release, "Bossalinie," dropped March 9th.Click here
